Finally, all the practice and tears are over. Last night was the defining moment for close to fifty hard working students with the presentation of their Wakakirri production. All the students were dazzling in their costumes and the effort displayed was sensational.
Even though the points don’t come out for a while Caloundra State School was awarded “Best School in Public” on the night. This means that they were the best organised and behaved school over the whole evening. This is a marvellous result for many weeks of hard work.
A big thank you needs to go to all the teachers and parents involved in choreographing, designing of sets, sewing and designing of costumes and presentation of make-up. Caloundra State School have not participated in Wakakirri for a few years and it was wonderful to see the students back excited and highly competitive.
