Caloundra State Primary School's annual Lapathon has been blown out of the water by Paddy Spencer , his parents and his grandparents. They have managed to raise $1000 for the school and the purchasing of sporting equipment.

Paddy a Prep student at Caloundra loves sport and so does his family. To help raise the funds, Paddy's dad took Paddy's sponsorship card to work with him adding $590 to his total. Adding to what he had already raised, Paddy now had a total of $780.

When Paddy's grandparents Chris & Jenna Prest found out about the fund- raiser and that Paddy was $220 shy of $1000 they decided that they too would join in and promptly donated the final $220 themselves. They even made the trip from Queanbeyan to watch Paddy complete his 22 laps.

All in all an outstanding, generous effort from all members of Paddy's extended family. This is the largest amount ever raised by an individual Lapathon participant and has set the bar extremely high for 2014.
