Even though the Prep area at Caloundra State School wasn’t looking that old, the students thought it was about time to give the area a new look. Over the past month the outdoor play area has been transformed into a child’s paradise, surrounded by two stages for lunch time performances and a winding river full of obstacles. A lovely new mural has also been created by the Prep teachers displaying the four school values and the beautiful gardens that exist throughout the school.
Caloundra State School has three purpose built Prep classrooms, all with interactive whiteboards, new kitchens and toilets. The buildings surround the recently refurbished play area and are close to the school garden. Caloundra Primary boasts vast quantities of resources both new and old built up over time. Currently the school has 470 students who enjoy the largest modern classrooms in the Caloundra area due to recent refurbishments of all buildings over the past eight years. You really do need to come and look as it is hard to imagine that a school that is over 100 years old can be so modern inside.
