If you were a 12 or 13 year old student, where would you rather be? In class, or learning to ski in sunny Jindabyne? Yet again in 2013 the students at Caloundra State School have the opportunity to fly away from mum and dad and embark on a wonderful experience down south. The school has been sending students to Canberra for well over ten years, initially bussing all the way. Now the students fly to Sydney and experience the Opera House and the historical landmarks and bus the rest of the journey to the ski fields and Canberra. Caloundra State School is the only school in the area to take the time to organise this type of trip for primary students, opening up a wonderful world to its students and staff alike. The trip will continue to be offered in future years, even when the year sevens goes off to high school in 2015. In 2014 both year six and seven will venture away and in 2015 the year sixes will go on their own. Obviously with some teachers!
