​This students from Caloundra SS competed in the Australian Oztag championships in Coffs Harbour.  This year there were over 170 teams ranging from Under 10s – to Under 17s.The Sunshine Coast is represented by a team in every age / gender category.  The Sunshine Coast Teams are called “The Sunshine Coast Sonics” Three girls from Caloundra State School competed, Phoebe  (Under 11), Sky A and Kiara B (Under 10) Phoebe’s team is made up of players from all over the Sunshine Coast and boasts a number of Queensland representatives. They were one of only 2 Sonics teams to advance to Grand Final positions.  They were unbeaten to get there – winning 7/7 games.  Unfortunately they went down in extra time/golden point, but can still claim to be the second best Under 11 girls Oztag team in Australia. Well done girls!
