UNSW Science Competition

2014 has been an outstanding year for academic achievement at Caloundra State School. The University of New South Wales Science results have just arrived at school and they have reinforced what the school already knew, that academic excellence is alive and well.

Five students in Years three, five and seven have achieved distinctions, placing them in the top two percent of students in Australia. To further add to the depth of scientific academia are the ten students who achieved credits, placing them in the top 15% in Australia.

Just following this group were the group of students who achieved merit and participation certificates. The school is proud of every student who attempted this very difficult test, especially a large group of year three students who participated for the first time.
