ANZAC Day

23/04/2015
How lucky are students who go to Caloundra State School. Not only did they have the opportunity to be present at the school’s wonderful ANZAC Day Ceremony but they also got to watch the Lighthorse perform a display on horseback. The members of the Gympie Lighthorse Regiment ran through tent pegging, bayonet charges and more, all on horseback. Due to poor weather conditions it is the first time in four years that the regiment has been able to perform at school. The ceremony was presented to the entire school group, including over 300 parents. They all had the privilege of seeing for the first time the year six captains deliver the service, and what a stirring job they did.
